Her Right Foot tells a secondhand account of how the Statue of Liberty came to be and what she represents. Students take a bite out of “The Big Apple” to learn about Lady Liberty’s home and discover the many facets that make the city so unique. This module  invites exploration of map reading, structural components of poetry and drama, readers’ theatre, and collage. The lessons will transport students on a learning journey like no other to explore freedom, the chains that bind, and our own personal call to action.
