The Right Word is a unique piece of historical fiction showcasing the life and
work of Peter Mark Roget, the inventor and author of the classified
Thesaurus. Cleverly crafted collage illustrations support the telling of how
the young boy’s obsession with words and order grew and expanded into a
unique, published sensation. This module takes word play to a whole new
level. Students will learn new ways to list, classify, and connect to words
while discovering the power our words can wield.
