Bread and Jam for Frances is a story about a fussy eater, her frustrated mother, and the pursuit of trying new foods. Students will decipher between fruits and vegetables and plan for balanced meals. This module is a culinary exploration that uses drama to uncover feelings about food while music and visual arts help them celebrate favorite feasts. Through varied text and games, students learn that there are consequences to not having a balanced diet and that attitudes and feelings about food can change over time.
