Make Way for Ducklings is the story of duck parents who are in search of a safe place to build a nest and raise their ducklings so their ducklings can thrive. This module invites birds of a feather to flock together as they build on their understanding of how ducks use their beaks to communicate and feed. Students will make feathery art, construct nests from loose parts, and join their voices for choral reading and improvised storytelling. This module will contribute to a student’s scientific understanding of the world around them!
Before you begin...
Each Artful Reading Module is flexibly designed for a 2-3 week duration. Lessons are marked for Before-, During-, or After-Reading to guide your planning.
