Grandfather's Journey is an immigrant family’s story, through multiple generations, and the emotions and adventures that accompany such a trek. Students will study others in U.S. history who have been courageous risk takers and committed to a journey that would take them to new places. Without having to stamp passports, students will get to travel to far away places. Their hearts and minds will be like an open highway as they read and write similes and as they study synonyms that go beyond the ordinary.
