Henry's Freedom Box is the true story of Henry Brown, a slave who escaped
to freedom through the Underground Railroad, after being mailed to the
North with help from abolitionists. Students will learn about the historical
context that prompted such actions and the bravery of those who were
willing to take risks for the freedom of others. This module patches together
pieces of history and culminates in a collaborative quilting project
representing our own unique guiding forces in life.
